Sunday Safari- Father's Day Edition - Queen of the First Grade Jungle

Sunday Safari- Father's Day Edition

Hi friends! Today we are going to be visiting Laura from Over the 1st Grade Rainbow!

Laura emailed me about checking out her blog and I am so glad she did! I have found several great ideas on this new blog!

Laura had a Drive in Movie day her last day of school. What a great way to keep the kids engaged on the Eve of Summer! I just may have to try this next year. That little zebra car is calling my name :)

Laura purchased mini piggy banks for her kids to paint as an introduction to her money unit! I LOVE this idea- anything that makes the subject more memorable and personal is a great idea (not to mention a way to tie in the Arts too).

This next picture is of an eye patch she made for a special student in her class. Things like this melt my heart and bring me back to the reason that I got into teaching.  I hope my students feel as loved as I am sure this little boy did :)

As with the newbies from two weeks ago, I think Laura will make a fantastic blogger as time goes!

For the more "seasoned" part of our journey, I wanted to make sure you all had heard about the many teachers participating in the Daily 5 book study over the summer.

I have never used the Daily 5 and I realllllly like the way I do Centers, but I am always willing to learn! I can't wait to see what these FABULOUS ladies have to say:

And just for you K teachers Tammy is hosting a Linky party for each chapter...WOW:

Live Love Laugh

Now- I can't write a post on Father's Day without thanking my husband for being an amazing father...

You make us laugh...

You set a wonderful example for our children (and me!)...

And you love us (even when you are exhausted!)...

We love you daddy!

Now I promise it won't be a whole week before you see me again!

  16. The main thing you have to settle on is the manner by which you're going to achieve Land's End. One of the most ideal approaches to approach Land's End is to drive to adjacent Sennen Cove and park there. There's a lot of stopping accessible, and once you're out of the auto you have a short stroll along some wonderful coastline to take you to Land's End.check cashing
