Climb to the Top! - Queen of the First Grade Jungle

Climb to the Top!

I know some of you are going to think I am crazy. I am okay with that. Many of you will probably say- no biggie. I am okay with that too. I have some kids that are chomping at the bit to start multiplication. Actually, many of them began it with their parents at home-- awhile back-- to be honest. Soooo, I came up with this partner game for these smart kiddos!

I will be posting it on TPT tonight (for a whopping $1.50), but I will send it to the first 10 people who hop over to Facebook and start following my page there (send me an email or comment please!)

  2. I don't have a Facebook page, but I completely agree with you! I have some kiddos that are already regrouping and beyond addition and subtraction!

Some of them are just ready! Their older brothers and sisters have been teaching them at home for awhile.

  10. Hi Katie,

You seriously could not have posted this at a better time. Today, my teammates (who are much older and wiser than me) were talking about beginning multiplication and division with some students. At first, I thought they were completely crazy, but then I thought, "why not!" There are many students who have already mastered double-digit addition and subtraction and ARE READY. I guess I should be asking, "AM I ready?" EEEK! I can't wait to check out your activity. It sounds great!

I love, love, love your ideas! Come check out my blog sometime. Thanks for sharing! You definitely helped make me feel less crazy about teaching these skills!

    Thanks, sweet girl!!!
