When Ms. Jessica threw this idea of a product swap out there (brilliant by the way!!!), I jumped right on board. Little did I know I would be so blessed as to be paired with Susan from Thank God It's First Grade.
Susan is an ADORABLE First Grade teacher in Las Vegas!
The product that I chose to review for Susan is her Ice Cream Social pack.
I don't know what I have done to deserve it, but lately ALL the cards seem to be lining up, because getting this packet couldn't have been better for me!I was able to look very closely at each activity as I cut out all the laminating, and this unit is FANTASTIC. I may or may not have been crying over the girls' gymnastics gold medal at the same time (hence no pics of me with said fabulous product).
Look how pretty this unit is!!! I know, I know that shouldn't matter, but my kids are just going to go ga-ga for these adorable graphics.
I also love that these graphics will allow me to pull these activities out at different points throughout the year. For example, see the picture below:
I am pretty sure not all of my darlings will be ready for double facts first thing in August, but I can easily put these games in work stations for some and pull them back out in a month or so for the rest of my kids.
Naming numbers in different ways- a personal favorite!
If you want to win me over....show me a game with ten frames. I am sure you all are tired of me saying this but ...Number Sense, Number Sense, Number Sense. It is the best thing us primary teachers can do to get them ready for the Upper Grade levels and ten frames are a great way to improve this skill!
I'm telling you all- it is like Susan crawled into my brain. Spinners are the best.
When I was printing these out yesterday 2 other teachers saw and of course they were super jealous, but they also kept talking about how much reading numbers is part of the Math Common Core now. Reading the room is a fantastic way to mix it up with your antsy kids.
The last 3 activities I am showing are ones I plan on doing the first Friday of school.
We have a 4 day school week, but MAN that first week feels like double. I think these activities will energize my kids to make it through that last exhausting day!
Cute Craftivity!!
Get to know your partner activities!
Phew... I hope you all have enjoyed going through Susan's packet as much as I have. She really is one of the best and sweetest bloggers out there!! After an email exchange, Susan and I decided to put our units on SALE for today and tomorrow for 20 % off!
Click on the button below for Susan.
Susan will be reviewing my Sporty Kids Math Centers- fingers crossed for some positive feedback. This means Sporty Kids is on Sale for 20 % off too!
Now off to finish that classroom!
Looks like a cute product! :)Thanks for sharing it for us! :)
