My kids had a pretty good grasp on time when they came to me as 2nd graders. Everyone could tell time to the hour and half hour!
I call that a win for sure!
SO we jumped right in using Amy Lemon's unit:
My cuties loved writing and sorting to show me what they know!
Amy had the cutest craft in her unit, but it wasn't seasonably appropriate so I used the clock she provided and had my kids make snowmen and snowwomen :)
I think they turned out great! What do you think?
I try and put Time centers in most of my Center packs so that my kids see it over and over again!
I found this adorable clock in my files, but I couldn't find the master so I went searching on TPT...
This is what my kids will be making tomorrow during math to introduce time to the five minute!
(Click on the picture to go to Amber's store and get her freebie!)
I also made this freebie a couple of years ago when I was just starting out with the whole creating thing ;)
I will be back in a few days with more friends! Have a great evening!
Katie,

Those snowman clocks are adorable! They almost (almost) make me want to teach first grade!
ReplyDeleteThe clock design was mine! I don't sell things on TpT, I just like to share my goodies!!! You can find the original file here for free:
