JoAnn's Teacher Craftivity Blog Hop - Queen of the First Grade Jungle

JoAnn's Teacher Craftivity Blog Hop

I am always looking for an excuse to use fabric on something!

 Anyone else?!?!?

I love, love, love Jo-Ann fabric!  I am coming from a classroom that had SIX bulletin boards to a classroom that only has ONE bulletin board.  I am still trying to find a solution to this predicament.

Hence my project---

I need a board for my spelling words/word work!  I saw these ADORABLE scrabble letters at Jo-Ann.

These are not your typical Scrabble letters, these are HUGE, like two or three inches.  My kids will go gah-gah over them!

Y'all to make this board I used two tools:

1. Scissors
2. My trusty Hot Glue Gun

My Jo-Ann Materials:
- 1 yard of Fabric
-Bulletin Board
-Ribbon
-Bin of Scrabble Letters
-Chipboard Stickers
- 2 Sheets of Cardstock

*I am sure there are MUCH more professional ways to do this, but I like simple. easy, and effective.

*First I cut and hot-glued my gray fabric to the board.
*I then used my black ribbon to cover up all the rough edges and add a border.
*I would love to tell you that I used a snazzy paper cutter to cut perfect triangles, but really I just eyeballed them.
*I added the chipboard letters and stuck them on the teal triangles.
*Last but not least I glued the triangles on to look like a banner.

I also threw together this cute little recording sheet for when my students use this interactive board/center.

  4. Love this!!! I'm lucky enough to have an entire back wall (floor to ceiling) of bulletin board. But, I would love to use the tiles to make a spelling game. Thanks for sharing!

  5. This is critical. The absolute most essential stride you can assume to enhance your praise is getting a secured charge card and making your installments on time a seemingly endless amount of time. The motivation behind secured charge cards is fundamentally to individuals who need to repair their credit. cash advance chicago
