Word Work Freebie - Queen of the First Grade Jungle

Word Work Freebie

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE having a student teacher?? Let me rephrase- Have I mentioned how much I LOVE having a very talented, creative, and capable student teacher?? I don't know what I am going to do without her when she goes to her fifth grade placement in a week and a half. I have spent the last two days organizing my files while Miss Student Teacher breezed through the beginning of her solo week. Just to make sure I didn't get too rusty, I created this word work activity for my students. Our word family this week is -ent.  My students have really got the word family thing down except for the close variations.  I thought that it wouldn't hurt to have a little extra practice. I used some of my tried and true Scrappin Doodles clip art and a Read the Room format.
If you like enough to download, please let me know! I always appreciate the feedback!

  5. Oh, thanks for sharing!!! :)
I have had 3 student teachers. Two were UH-MAZING. One -- well, notsomuch. And that's not fun. So I am so happy your surprise student teacher is working out! Enjoy the time you get while she flies solo!

  6. Very cute word work activity! I'm really trying to get into read the room activities (sadly it was a lightbulb moment when I learned you post words you want them to read instead of just reading any words around the rooom...duh! They need a focus! I always thought they would burn out fast on read the room without a focus) :) Live and Learn!

  7. Glad your Student Teacher is working out! I still have a couple years before I will end up with one (in my district you have to teach at your grade level for 5 years before you can have a Student Teacher).

Thanks for the freebie! It will be great when we start learning short e!

And YAY for your student teacher- I can't wait until I've been teaching long enough to have one. I know how valuable and awesome by mentor teacher was when I was in college so it excites me and motivates me to be an awesome mentor for someone. I totally know you are that for your student teacher! :)

  14. Auto advances taken out to purchase another auto are generally secured advances. As the individual will pay out a huge number of pounds they will have the capacity to spread the expense of the credit out over a more drawn out period than with an unsecured advance. Cash Advance San-diego
